Blood Pressure Reading

blood pressure reading
Is having high blood pressure reading at MEPS consider a permanent DQ or temporary?

I have had no previous history of high bp, but my reading was slightly high and I was DQ’d.
Can I still join the military?

Don’t know what “slightly high” is. The upper limits for blood pressure is 140 over 90. If either of those two are higher, then they take your blood pressure three more times, at ten minute intervals, in a sitting position. If either of the numbers is high, then it is an indicator of vascular hypertensive disease.
If such was the case when you were examined, then you are disqualified from entry into the armed forces. There are no waivers. The source below is the citation for that medical standard.
